The orthopedic surgeons at DMOS have entrusted a group of administrative team members to support them in achieving their mission with every patient, on every visit: “To provide patients with the highest quality of orthopedic care possible.” Like DMOS doctors, the administrative team members at DMOS are passionate about improving the quality of lives through orthopedic care and are involved in their communities as board members, volunteers, and advocates.
Nicholas Honkamp, M.D. | Board President
As president of DMOS, Dr. Nicholas Honkamp provides strategic leadership by working with the administration team and board of directors to create goals, strategies, plans, and procedures. Since becoming president in 2014, Dr. Honkamp has aided in the successful launch of DMOS’ Ankeny clinic, physical therapy service line as well as the Urgent Injury Care Center located at DMOS West.
Dr. Honkamp joined DMOS in 2007 upon completion of a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. His specialty includes all aspects of shoulder and knee injuries from arthroscopic treatments to joint replacement.
Kevin DeRonde | CEO/Corporate Administrator
Since joining DMOS in 2012, Kevin DeRonde has provided leadership to support our surgeons in their business operations and growth in new services lines. He has also helped DMOS advance their presence in local and regional markets through benchmarking, innovation, business ventures, networking and best practices.
Kevin has more than 15 years of experience with healthcare business management, operations, physician engagement, and service line support, having previously served in management and executive roles at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Mahaska Health Partnership, and UnityPoint Des Moines. He graduated from Iowa State University School of Business and received two Master’s degrees from Middle Tennessee State University.
Jodie Aschim | Radiology & West Clinic Director
Jodie Aschim began her formal education at the University of Iowa in nursing and then ended up pursuing a career in Radiology. She graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences and became Board Certified in 1985.
Jodie has 32 years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care. At DMOS, she is a Member of Administrative Team, and she trains, coaches, mentors and manages a staff of over forty employees. In addition to negotiating and managing equipment purchase, installation, and Service Agreements, she also coordinates the entire clinic flow and staffing. She is passionate about her profession and takes pride in the team at DMOS.
When she’s not in the office, Aschim plays cello and piano, plus she loves spending time with her German Shepherd, Anna.
Michael S. Ford | Chief Information Officer
Des Moines native, Michael Ford, served in the US Air Force and was stationed at various bases in the Western US. After his military service, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. Ford has spent his career working in the IT field in the metro area as well as serving clients in other states.
Mike and his wife of thirty years, Kathy, have raised their five children in the West Des Moines/Clive communities and are now enjoying their new phase in life as grandparents of six (lucky #7 will arrive in late 2017). In his spare time, he enjoys golf, travel, spending time with his family and he is also very active in his church and serves in many capacities within his congregation.
Dianne Goodner | East Clinic Director
Since training and graduating from Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, Dianne Goodner has worked in the Trauma and Orthopaedic field in various capacities her entire career. She has experience in X-ray, MRI/CT, Ortho, M.A., and Management.
Dianne joined DMOS since 2005 and currently serves as the Penn Office Director. She has helped with Work Comp Symposiums and has also been a speaker for X-ray Symposiums.
Outside of work, Dianne is passionate about giving back to the community. She volunteers for several organizations including Brothers/Big Sisters of Iowa, Unity Point and Mercy Cancer Centers, Blank Children’s Hospital and Meals from the Heartland.
Jan Graham | Chief Financial Officer
Jan Graham started with DMOS in January 1995. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and worked for six and a half years in public accounting and three years as controller for a home health agency before coming to DMOS.
Jan is responsible for all finance, accounting, payroll & purchasing and has enjoyed the opportunities to work beyond just the numbers to assist in meeting the organization’s goals. She is the proud mom of two young men and enjoys reading in her spare time.
Rich Green | Director of Physical & Hand Therapy Clinic
Rich Green received his undergraduate degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee in 1989 and his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 1992. He was one of the original staff that founded the current physical therapy and hand department at DMOS in 1994. In 1995, he was named supervisor of the clinics, and in 2006 he assumed a similar role at Mercy Clinics in Urbandale. He returned to DMOS in October 2016 as Director of the PT and Hand Clinic.
Throughout his career, Rich has taken on many roles, including the Director of Medical Services for the 2004 Jr. Olympic Games, current Chief Advisor for Medical Services for the IMT Des Moines Marathon and Adjunct professor at Grand View University. He has presented at numerous meetings on topics ranging from general Orthopedic Physical Therapy to work site evaluations.
Rich and his wife, JoAnn, have two children – Brady (16) and Kara (14). He is an avid Notre Dame and Iowa State fan, and in his spare time enjoys golfing with family and friends, fishing in Canada over the summer and working his way around the three smokers that he owns.
Tracy Herrick | Director of Compliance & Project Management
As Compliance and Project Management Director at DMOS, Tracy Herrick is responsible for all project management, security (including locks, video cameras, and badges) as well as compliance (HIPAA). Before joining DMOS, she worked at UnityPoint Health for 14 years.
Tracy comes from a very large family whose belief is that success is not defined by titles, degrees or positions, but rather by the actions people take, how they make others feel about themselves and the help they provide. It’s a philosophy she tries to put into practice in her daily work ethic. Tracy lives in the Des Moines area with her husband, her brother and she also cares for her father-in-law. They have one daughter and three dogs.
Marsha Jungblut | Ankeny Clinic Director
As the Director of DMOS Ankeny, Marsha Jungblut believes strongly in the model of providing patients with exceptional and compassionate health care and is excited about the opportunity DMOS has to serve Ankeny and its surrounding communities. Marsha has always loved the healthcare industry. She completed her CMA certificate and then went on to get her AAS in Medical Laboratory Technology and BS in Health Care Administration. Marsha started her career at St. Lukes Hospital in the laboratory before taking on supervising the laboratory in a Family Medicine Practice in the Quad Cities. She came to Des Moines in 1989 and worked for Mercy Clinics in Family Medicine, Arthritis/Osteoporosis and ENT. Before joining DMOS, Marsha worked as a Practice Supervisor in the Surgery Division at Iowa Clinic.
Marsha and her husband Larry have six children and two grandchildren. They enjoy traveling to country music concerts throughout the United States, RV camping, grilling and attending Hawkeye and Cubs games.
Sherry Norelius | Executive Secretary
Sherry Norelius graduated from Clarke Community High School and earned her Associates Degree from DMACC, Ankeny Campus. She began her career in Medical Transcription and Office Services and was employed by Mercy Hospital-Des Moines as a medical transcriptionist/supervisor before joining DMOS in 1985.
Sherry lives in Ankeny and is married with two daughters, two sons-in-law, and two granddaughters. She loves spending time with family and friends as well as sewing.
Nicki Sorenson | HR, Culture & People Director
Nicki Sorenson has been the HR Director for DMOS since August 2016 and is responsible for the organization’s overall Human Resource needs, including benefits, recruiting and employee culture across all the DMOS locations.
Nicki began her career at CDS Global in Training and Client Management and eventually transitioned to Sr. Workforce Specialist, where for nine years, her primary focus was recruiting, employee retention and HR applications. Nicki is married and the mom of three active boys. She enjoys junking/antiquing, traveling, and watching her sons play their favorite sports.
Casey Rush | Director of Marketing & Communications
A data-driven marketing professional, Casey is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all aspects of marketing. Before joining DMOS in 2016, Casey Rush served as the Senior Manager of Global Marketing & Events for Hearst-owned CDS Global, the worldwide leader in business process outsourcing for the publishing industry. There she worked in conjunction with senior leadership on a global rebrand, created a go-to-market process and was instrumental in driving adoption of solutions through an ABM and Demand/lead gen approach.
Casey received her B.A from Simpson College and holds a certification in Business Leadership from Drake, in addition to being Pragmatic Marketing certified. Rush lives in Indianola with her husband, Shannon, and their four dogs. They travel each year internationally to explore the world (and appease her love for history). Casey enjoys a good workout at the gym, reading books, spending time with her furry kids and trips to Okoboji during the summer to enjoy lake life.
