SURGERY UPDATE

We are currently performing outpatient surgeries following strict safety protocols to keep our patients and surgery teams as safe as possible including pre-surgery COVID-19 testing. If you have had a surgery postponed we will be contacting you to reschedule. If your surgery is inpatient we are working very closely with UnityPoint Health - Des Moines but currently we are not scheduling yet.

Urgent Injury Clinic @ DMOS West

No appointments are necessary for the DMOS Urgent Injury Clinic. The Urgent Injury Clinic is located at the DMOS – West location and staffed by specialized orthopedic PAs. The Urgent Injury Clinic team offers personalized orthopedic care at convenient hours, six days a week.

When you arrive for your appointment at DMOS, please check in at the Registration Desk. If this is your first visit, you will be asked to provide registration information, insurance information, an insurance card and a photo identification. If you have visited our clinic in the past, the receptionist will confirm your information and make any updates or changes as needed.

The state of Iowa allows patients to schedule and see a physical or hand therapist without a referral from your physician, so you are welcome to schedule directly with a DMOS physical or hand therapist. We always recommend that you check with your insurance company, however, on their requirements.
