Biography
Dr. Christopher Dickinson is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon who joined DMOS in September 2024. A Des Moines native, he completed his residency at Michigan State and his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Hip & Knee Replacement at Indiana University. He specializes in a variety of hip and knee procedures as well as sports-related injury care and management, workers’ compensation injuries, and regenerative medicine.
When it comes to his practice, Dr. Dickinson’s goal is to restore function and mobility for his patients. He strives to educate his patients in all aspects of their care so that together, they can formulate a customized treatment plan that allows them to return to and maintain their active lifestyle. For him, one of the most rewarding aspects of his work is developing long-lasting relationships with his patients and getting them back to the activities they love.
Both Dr. Dickinson and his wife are excited to return to Des Moines with their three daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, traveling and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
