Biography
Erin Steffenson, PA-C joined DMOS in March 2024. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology from Drake University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) from the University of Dubuque.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and Iowa Physician Assistant Society (IPAS). Erin offers patient care at DMOS’ West Des Moines location. Before joining DMOS, Erin worked as a CNA at Childserve and as a PCA in her home state of Minnesota.
Erin enjoys being part of the patient care journey from start to finish, including the clinic and operating room experiences. She believes in listening to her patients before developing a treatment plan, and values the importance of understanding individual experiences in order to build a personable and trustworthy patient-provider relationship.
Erin enjoys playing volleyball, rock climbing, hiking, reading, and cooking outside of work. A fun fact about Erin is that she is a twin, and her brother is three minutes older than her. Erin has traveled extensively and studied abroad in India, where she shadowed the hospital’s labor and delivery department and learned about their healthcare system. Her favorite places include Costa Rica, India, Alaska, and Yosemite.
