Elisabeth Jeffords joined the DMOS team after more than 15 years of experience in patient care as a Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in Premed Studies from Bob Jones University, and then went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa.
Elisabeth has worked in various disciplines throughout her career including family medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics and cardiology. She has obtained certification in advanced trauma, pediatric, and cardiac life support. She has a passion for teaching and has presented to both hospital and patient groups on a variety of topics. She enjoys interacting with patients and taking care of them as an entire person while dealing with their acute illness or injury.
When not seeing patients, Elisabeth enjoys spending time with her family – husband Brian and 4 children, Victoria, Alexander, Emmeline and Eleanor. When she has time, she enjoys watching sports, especially college football. (Go Hawkeyes!!).
